Sonam Kapoor is waiting for the date of release of Padmavat

Bollywood actress Sonam Kapoor is waiting for the official announcement of "Padmavat" release. She feels there is a need of competition when it comes to big films. Her film "Padman" will be releasing on January 25 and bollywood buzz says that Sanjay Leela Bhansali is also planning to release his film on the same day. If it happens, then it will be quite interesting to see the competition between these two big films with big star casts.

In an interview, Sonam said on the clash of these two films, "It is not announced officially, isn't it? If it is, it is good. There is a need for competition when it comes to films and (it is) high time that the film releases. Good cinema is good cinema, I don't believe in competition."

She further added, "And honestly, I am just happy that the film is releasing, more than anything else, and I hope the film does well. I am pretty sure that there is no official statement from the production house of the film's release.

Sonam will be seen next with Akshay Kumar in "Padman" which is all set to hit the theatres on January 25.
