Akshay Kumar is making a comeback with the show on TV after a long time. He is doing a lot of work with a strong planning from this show. 
Regarding joining the show, Akshay said, "When I came in 90, I did only action films for eight years. But I did not want to make any fixed images. For this reason, I started working in every genre movie. On TV, I am doing different shows of action and camaraderie like this. I respect the camera enthusiasts. But I do not like to make fun of anyone."
The actor also revealed about the story of being the part of the show, "When the makers approached me for the show, I immediately gave a nod, because of my love for the genre and I understand how difficult as a profession/passion it is to make people laugh. With such an interesting concept and script to launch the announcement of the show, I didn’t shy away to be called the ‘first pregnant man’ of the nation as being an actor and an artist, I always believe in being versatile with all my projects."
The Great Indian Laughter Challenge will go on air from September 30. The comedy show will have Akshay Kumar as the super judge along with comedians Mallika Dua, Hussain Dalal and Zakir Khan.

Akshay's films are earned by his name at the box office. It is possible that in the race of TRP, he will be able to take the title and go away.
