Tamil superstar Vijay's film Mersal's teaser was released two days earlier. It has got more than 16 million views within two days of release. It is considered to be a record in itself. This film is going to be released on Diwali this year. But the clouds of crisis are still on the verge of the film. On Friday, the Madras High Court banned the film for an interim period. The court had ordered to avoid the use title "Mersal" in any kind of advertising and promotion till October 3.

Not only that, he has said that he started shooting the film with this title. He said that he had to knock on the court door because the Producers Council did not take this issue seriously. When the case was heard in front of Judge Anita Sumanth, she ordered the film title not to be used in any kind of advertisement, distribution and promotion till October 3. At the same time, she has asked the company's production company Mr. Thenandal Films to answer this by October 3.
The film is directed by well-known director of South films, Atlee Kumar. Vijay has triple role in this film. He is going to be seen in the role of panchayat head, doctor and magician. Nitya Menon, Kajal Agarwal and Samantha Ruth Prabhu will also be seen in the film. It is being told that the film is made in a big budget of Rs 130 crore.
