Online job portal for Entertainment professionals. Is there a need for one?

Educated find jobs on Naukri and LinkedIn, where can artists and actors find their jobs?

Artists also need to have a job to sustain, to feed themselves and their families. It is important to pay attention to this question since Artists cannot be neglected. They add value to spirit of free culture and ultimately to the civilization.

As of now, all the college learned population, aspiring corporate job seekers have a place to find their relevant jobs and assignments on llinkdin or naukri and related portals but what about people who are Artist at heart or aspire to become one? The skills carried by artists are still not counted as one of the mainstream skill set which is worthy of earning a living like a normal skilled individual. However it is so ironical as soon as one of them becomes famous, it ultimately becomes “the” national talent to acquire ASAP.

Shouldn't there be a professional free network which can help them find their assignments and projects, which is solely dedicated to them, driven by them and at the same time reachable to all? The industry is so fragmented that most of the agents and the beechwale log exploit them like anything.

Every second parent in India wants their kid to be the next Amitabh, but today’s aspiring Talent is lost in social networks where they have lots of connections but nothing relevant to them. This is not just a India problem perse but I guess throughout the world where entertainment and showbiz needs a bit of organisation in its approach.

In current scenario, where technology is spreading its wings across every section of the society, perhaps things can change or rather emerge disruptive in the Showbiz world as well. leveraging techniology to find opportunities in entertainmennt sector can be a great idea of tomorrow.
