Indian women’s hockey team is in quarter finals!

India is a big country with million of population where sports is worshiped by its people. Sports had played a significant role in our country’s development. There was a time when only men were allowed to participate in all these sports activities and women were as equal to  nothing. But as time changes thinking changes. Now women are bringing pride for India by winning in various sports.

You will be very happy to know that recently our Indian women’s hockey team played very well and won by defeating Malaysia by 2-0. This is our team’s third continuous victory in this women’s Asian cup. Now the team will be playing quarter finals against Kazakhistan  on second of November.

In kakamigahara kavasaki stadium this match was played in which in first half none of the teams were able to get any goal. Where in second half immediately Malaysia got a penalty goal in which our team’s goal kipper Rajni saved this by showing her great goal keeping skills. After that India got penalty too but there they were failed to get a goal.

Even in the third quarter of the match none of the teams could strike a goal. Where in forth quarter finally Indian   forward Vandana Katariya strike a successful goal and gave India a lead by 1-0. Than after Vandana it was seen that there was a different energy in the players. Soon after Vandana Gurjeet kaur strike another goal which made India at 2-0.

As this the macth was finished and Malaysia was defeated. We are so proud of our women hockey team and wish them luck for their quarter finals on 2nd November.
